Ground Breaking at Blackhawk Community Credit Union

(Stoughton, WI) La Macchia Group, LLC, a Design/Build firm located in Milwaukee’s historic Third Ward, was selected by Blackhawk Community Credit Union to design and build their new branch office in Stoughton, Wisconsin, located at 1525 Hwy. 51-138.  When the Janesville-based credit union decided to open another branch location, La Macchia Group’s research determined Stoughton to be a premier location.  This is the fifth project La Macchia Group will be completing for Blackhawk. 

“Construction began on this project in October, 2009 and will be completed in the spring of 2010,” said Ralph La Macchia, President of La Macchia Group.

“This exciting opportunity to serve more people in Wisconsin by bringing credit union services to Stoughton will help the community with more choices of lower-cost financial services,” said Bob Carmichael, President & CEO of Blackhawk Community Credit Union.

A ground breaking ceremony was held on December 3, 2009 drawing a large crowd which included the Mayor of Stoughton, Chamber Ambassadors, and representatives from the Credit Union and La Macchia Group.  The 3,260 sq. ft. building will be the first credit union for the city of Stoughton and La Macchia Group is proud to be a part of it.
