BIG MAC EGG ROLLS
Enjoy the flavor of the burger classic in a fried crispy egg roll shell. Don't worry, we didn't forget the sesame seeds and special sauce.
Ingredients: (with guesstimated amounts)
- 1lb ground sirloin
- 1/3 of a medium white onion - diced into small pieces
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon ketchup
- 1/4 cup yellow mustard
- 1/4 cup (5 or 6) petite kosher dill diced into small pieces
- American cheese (1/2 slice per egg roll)
- Egg roll wrappers (1 package)
- Vegetable oil
- Sesame seeds

Instructions:
Add meat and onions to pan, browning meat and softening onions. Drain fat. Add pepper, salt (be careful not to over-salt), ketchup and mustard.
Taste and make any adjustments as needed and then set aside to cool.
Lay out egg roll wrappers on work surface. Add 1/2 piece of cheese, 2 1/2 tablespoons of meat mix, and 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of pickle. Roll egg roll contents and seal with water. Put on tray lined with parchment paper (don’t let them touch). Freeze until solid.
When ready to cook, brush lightly with vegetable oil and air fry for 10-12 minutes - checking and flipping at halfway point brush again with oil and sprinkling with sesame seeds until golden brown. Remove from air fryer. Serve with thousand island dressing.
Yields 12 Egg Rolls
Note: We used a Cuisinart Food Chopper for the onions and pickles. The small blade chopper makes perfect cubes of onions and pickles.
