La Macchia Group Wins IIDA Award

MILWAUKEE, WI - La Macchia Group was awarded First Place in the 2016 Design Competition for Corporate Design Under 5,000 Square Feet at the Wisconsin Chapter of International Interior Design Association (WI-IIDA) Celebrate in Design Awards on April 28, 2016.

La Macchia Group submitted its recent project, Illiana Financial Credit Union, for this award which showcased the challenging task of two live remodels. Illiana Financial originally engaged La Macchia Group for the purpose of image transformation as they felt that a new brand identity was needed that better matched their personality and fit into the modern financial environment. La Macchia Group developed Illiana Financial's new logo and tagline which served as the design inspiration and was embodied throughout the interior spaces. Careful programming and space planning transformed existing underutilized spaces into more efficient areas. This was accomplished by creating better accessible offices, improved lighting, and reducing barriers within the spaces.

The La Macchia Group project team included Molly Philaja (Designer of Branded Environments), Ian McCain (Project Architect), Brandon Bosch (Project Manager), and Rachel Mahuta (Brand Designer). "We are so excited to be acknowledged by the WI-IIDA and our peers. This team really pulled together to help showcase one of our many amazing clients and I am proud to have worked with this great group," said Molly Philaja.
