SUMMARY
This new 3,300-square-foot branch is Alliant Credit Union’s third location. The exterior and interior were both strongly influenced by mission-style architecture and design. Brick and natural stone on the exterior lead upward to well-defined clerestory windows that provide function and design. They add an architectural element to the outside of the building while allowing natural light to stream into the interior space.
Symmetry abounds the interior to support the design of the exterior. The space is light and airy, as natural light flows through the entire lobby via clerestory windows. Built-in lamps at the teller line provide additional lighting and character. A focal point in the space is the comfortable seating area, anchored by craftsman style pendants. A mirrored area in the lobby contains a circular merchandise table featuring tactile packaging that explains Alliant’s product and service offerings. A coffee station was incorporated next to the front door to allow members to conveniently grab a cup of coffee on the way in or out.
The finishes are mission style-inspired, which continue the stylistic theme throughout. These finishes include: slate-like vinyl flooring, cherry stain and carpet tiles with a structured, linear pattern. Burnt orange, brown and black accent colors carry the style throughout the building.
