SUMMARY

Atlantic Federal Credit Union had a goal of expanding their footprint and bringing new members in the door, and sought the expertise of La Macchia Group to achieve their goals. While they had already made their name in Maine, they did not have a physical presence in Maine’s largest metropolitan area; Portland. As their first entry into this large, and competitive, market, Atlantic knew they needed to make an impression. With the help of La Macchia Group, they found the opportunity to do so in Westbrook, ME, a suburb of Portland.

What made this build extremely unique was the incorporation of their branding and community into the physical build, both inside and out, as well as showcasing advanced technology to create an exciting and engaging environment to attract new members. La Macchia Group took environmental branding to the next level by literally leveraging Atlantic's iconic "A" into the architecture of the building and incorporating the coast of Maine into the impressive state-of-the-art LED wall.

When you walk into the new branch, we believe that the
ordinary gives way to the extraordinary. La Macchia Group
helped bring our logo and our brand to life.

- Chris McGorrill, CEO

In addition to the LED wall, other technology was incorporated to elevate the branded space and enhance the member experience. A touch table was added in the lobby so employees can easily showcase Atlantic’s products and services. This benefits both members and employees, while continuing to display the credit union's commitment to leveraging technology to meet the members needs. Additionally, the offices with glass walls were equipped with a panel of frost that can be switched on and off. If on, the office is provided with a better sense of privacy, and while turned off, the glass still provides a feeling of openness through the office and lobby. ITM drive ups provide improved operational efficiency while creating a more seamless, innovative look as they don't rely on a traditional teller line or deal drawer. Though a drive-up is common among many branches, this one is unique because the ITMs allows for lower full-time employee counts and extends hours of operation for members.
