SUMMARY

Bank of Pontiac knew they could better serve their customers in Dwight, Illinois and continue to drive growth at the same time.  They turned to La Macchia Group to help them address a unique situation.

For many years, the bank had operated a stand-alone drive-thru located up the street from its storefront branch, inconvenient for customers and staff alike. Both teams decided that the optimal solution to having two properties was to consolidate, demolishing the old drive-thru structure and building a new, full-service branch in its place. The old storefront was generously donated to the Dwight Economic Alliance showing the bank’s unwavering commitment to reinvesting in the community.

Just blocks away from downtown, the new building needed a design that reflected the city’s historic railroad community. With hundreds driving by each day, the exterior of the building had to compliment the neighborhood yet still distinguish itself as a financial institution.

The team at La Macchia Group created an on-brand yet rustic feel using earth tones and natural elements throughout the interior and exterior. The team worked with a local artist to replicate 100-year-old artwork from an older branch and implement it throughout the space, serving as a great representation of the long and deep history both the bank and the community take pride in.  To further welcome customers and connect to the community, a patio space with a wooden pergola was provided out front, great for gatherings and casual meetings in the beautiful Illinois summers.
