MILWAUKEE, WI - After a year of planning, design and construction, La Macchia Group celebrated the successful completion of First National Bank of Steeleville in Steeleville, Illinois. Now open, the project is being widely recognized in the financial services industry for its forward-thinking design, most recently having received an Innovations in Technology Award from the Illinois Bankers Association (IBA).
La Macchia Group worked with First National Bank in 2015 to design and construct the new, 22,000-square-foot location that now serves as the bank's main office. Throughout planning and design, La Macchia Group was challenged to bring a modern approach to the banking experience. Technology innovations included replacing the traditional teller line with teller pods; adding teller cash recycling equipment to increase the efficiency of cash handling; utilizing creative technology to enhance interactions between bank employees and customers while making efficiency, privacy and security a priority; and more.
On March 3rd, First National Bank president Tom Broeckling accepted the award from IBA on behalf of the bank and the project team.
"We achieved a facility that provides an enhanced experience for our customers," said Broeckling. "La Macchia Group and our other project team members are to be commended for their commitment to our objectives."
