1st Community Credit Union began serving the Wisconsin community of Sparta in 1961, expanded into the neighboring town of West Salem some years later and recently made the decision to expand again with a new branch roughly 20 miles west in Tomah, WI. As fairly rural community outside of the LaCrosse/Eau Claire MSA, Tomah was considered an underserved market with great accessibility located between two major interstate highways.
With a highly visible location, 1st Community wanted to showcase its brand through unique and attractive building design, communicating to potential members that they would have both the products and level of service they desired. La Macchia Group designed the building to grab attention from the main traffic corridor, leveraging the brand’s lime green to draw attention and differentiate 1st Community from the older and consistently dark brick facades of possible competitors. Unique features such as glazing and branded metal panels were applied at standout areas of the building.
Moving inside, the brand colors and expanded palette bring energy to the space. A large digital display wall allows the credit union to not only display messages and current promotions, but also celebrate the local history and events in the community. 1st Community is continually making their presence known throughout western Wisconsin as they expand their reach into surrounding communities.
Looking to grow our branch footprint, 1st Community Credit Union decided to partner with La Macchia Group. We found their expertise in branch design and highly effective management of the construction process exceeded our expectations. La Macchia Group continues to be a valued partner working to support the strategic efforts of our credit union.
