SUMMARY

Forward-thinking

Thinking into the future has always been top of mind for Alden State Bank. In fact, they purchased their newest location almost five years ago, prior to partnering with La Macchia Group for their branch transformation. A big focus was on hiring employees first and starting to develop business in the market early so when they finally opened their doors, they would be off and running, ensuring a successful start.

Brand Refresh

During the initial schematic design phase of their building, it was clear to Alden State Bank that their brand, specifically their logo, could use a light refresh. Since they really liked their current logo, the branding experts at La Macchia Group worked their magic to modernize their design without drifting too far away from the initial look. The end-result was a clean, crisp logo that featured a light blue accent color to help modernize their brand identity. With this new look solidified, La Macchia Group was ready to jump back into the design phase with the goal of bringing their updated brand to life within the physical space.

Focused on Community

Alden State Bank partnered with a local non-profit, F BITES, to open a new coffee shop within their branch. This is no ordinary coffee shop, though. This café is special because it is focused on workforce development, giving individuals, such as high-risk teens, the stepping stones needed to achieve their dream careers. They can improve their soft skills like customer service while building a resume. According to Steve Woodard, President & CEO of Alden State Bank, “Being a community bank is more than just being located in the community, it’s actually being engaged in the community.” Having a coffee shop located inside the branch also gives Alden State Bank’s current customers a tasty amenity, while drawing in prospective customers, too.

Our partnership with La Macchia Group helped us harness the power of our brand and allowed Alden State Bank to reintroduce an energetic branch environment to the community. La Macchia Group's branding and design/build expertise paved the way for our refreshed logo that we believe will help maintain a strong and positive presence in the community.
