Bank of Brodhead

SUMMARY

When a vehicle drove through the front window of their lobby, Bank of Brodhead needed to act quickly to re-open, but also chose to make the best of their situation. They came to La Macchia Group to start a new chapter, to create a facility design that would engage customers and improve the staff experience while still honoring their rich history.

With a "safety first" mindset, La Macchia Group’s team quickly addressed the original issue by adding large boulders to the side of the building that was damaged. This corner of the building is located near a busy intersection and the team wanted to ensure this type of accident wouldn't happen again.

The team then commenced a full-scale live interior branch remodel. La Macchia Group developed a custom solution to improve the overall space functionality, cohesion and aesthetic. The floorplan was restructured to make room for more open lending areas and additional private offices.

The complete remodel of the lobby featured a modern aesthetic mixed with the nostalgia of the Bank, providing a welcoming atmosphere with an ode to the Bank’s history. A very distinct and uniquely designed teller line blended the old and new. A vintage, hand-painted logo of the bank on the door behind the teller line was preserved while beautiful marble panels were added around the vault, elevating the aesthetic while still honoring tradition.

Bank of Brodhead is now positioned to safely serve and grow with its customers for years to come.
