Alliance Catholic Credit Union is a long-time partner of La Macchia Group, with projects ranging from microbranches to main offices. This branch in Allen Park is a continuation of ACCU's mission to enhance the financial well-being of their Catholic communities and the neighbors they serve.
The Short Move
Wanting to provide members and staff with an updated space, this project was a relocation of a branch previously conducting business in Melvindale, less than two miles down the road. By relocating this short distance, Alliance Catholic CU was not only able to continue providing outstanding service to their original Melvindale members, but also allow ease of access for the Allen Park members and potential audience.
Not just a seamless visit was provided with this move however. Opening up their doors in what used to be a pawn shop building, provided more space for ACCU to integrate updated technology. Acting as a full service branch, this location includes two drive-thru ITMs, allowing for a quick transaction as well as a more in-depth visit. These and other ITMs that ACCU have incorporated throughout their branches are facilitated by staff located in their main office, a project La Macchia Group partnered with ACCU on as well.
The stained glass window featured in the vestibule of this location is just one of the details acting as an ode to Catholicism.
Craftsmanship At It's Finest
Unique, subtle elements of a brand are not only easily recognizable by brand loyalists, but it ensures their values are well matched to the very organization they support. Being a closed charter credit union that largely serves members of the Catholic community, faith is high on the list of the credit union's priorities and it reminds members of that in every way it can. As seen in this branch, each teller pod is branded with the holy cross, calling attention to the faith of credit union members and reminding them that their financial institution supports it unconditionally. Where teller pods are located usually becomes the focus of any bank or credit union space; Alliance Catholic wanted to uniquely bring out this dedicated area as much as it could to differentiate itself from other financial institutions.
