Climb Credit Union started out in 1951, with $157 from the seven founding members. Today, serving over 40,000 members with six branch locations, Climb Credit Union is determined to help each of their members reach financial freedom. Located in a busy shopping center, this Colorado Springs branch was designed to reach current and potential members more efficiently. After rebranding from their previous Sooper Credit Union identity, Climb Credit Union knew they needed a space that would create a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring the whole community knew that Climb Credit Union was there to help them 'make the climb'.

The floorplan of this new branch is open and inviting, and features many spaces that foster an open and comfortable conversation between members and staff. An important aspect of this branch is the biophilia that was incorporated to bring a sense of life and nature inside the branch. Biophilia: the innate human tendency to seek connections with nature and living systems. Integrating natural features like plants and natural light helps to boost productivity by up to 8%, and raises overall well-being by 13%.

Throughout the space, you'll notice round, organic feeling sunburst patterns. From the ceiling to wall and glass decals, Climb Credit Union's community centric, round-table approach is solidified time and time again. The casework, paint, and furniture continue to remind visitors of the brand that is there to help them make their financial climbs. With this branch technically considered a microbranch, the glass partitions between spaces contribute to the open feeling of the floorplan. Breaking the bounds of a typical entry vestibule by using moveable glass doors, the lobby space opens to the vestibule during regular branch hours, and closes during off-hours self-service. By using glass doors, the space feels approachable and inviting, even during self-service hours.
