Credit Union of Colorado has been serving its members for more than 80 years. With more than a dozen branches throughout metro Denver and surrounding communities, the new Highlands Ranch branch was built to serve a new market it had not yet reached.
It's no secret that Colorado is a growing state with many of its new residents being under the age of 45. CU of Colorado wanted to not only keep up with, but stay ahead of its state's growth. In the last five years, the credit union has seen tremendous membership growth and in 2017 alone, added over 6,000 new members!
Monitoring this growth in membership is one of CU of Colorado's top priorities, which is why our strategic analysis recommended that they deploy a new branch in Highlands Ranch, a suburb with convenient access to all of Denver's major attractions and business centers. Partnering with them at this time was particularly exciting.
When Service Meets Efficiency
La Macchia Group helped to blend the traditional elements of a financial institution such as drive-ups with new ITMs.
Although Highlands Ranch is a more rural community, it made sense for CU of Colorado to incorporate ITMs into their space for those who are on the go or need to make a transaction during non-business hours.
CU of Colorado wants to create a refreshed, visually dynamic, and functional space for new and existing members & employees, and this was one avenue to achieve that.
Colorful Colorado
Being surrounded by the natural beauty of Colorado, La Macchia Group’s design team utilized elements of wood, stone and foliage to create a tranquil, yet modern design aesthetic. To brighten up the interior space with more lively elements, a painted mural was installed by a local Highlands Ranch artist, paying homage to the growing metro Denver area.
Additional branded elements were incorporated with subtle wall graphics that highlight the local terrain and envelope the space in earthy blues and greens. Members and employees alike feel both welcomed and empowered to be part of the credit union's community in this new branch space.
