Heritage Credit Union, a community credit union serving members in Illinois and Wisconsin, was located in the highly competitive market of Rockford, Illinois, for many years. Although the site the credit union occupies is a great location, the old facility was almost invisible to potential members. The management team at the credit union knew they were losing a great opportunity to grow the credit union by not developing this location to its fullest extent. That is why they chose La Macchia Group to help them revitalize the facility by undertaking a live remodel.
La Macchia Group, a design/build firm, was able to add stunning geometrical components to the structure without significantly changing the shape of the building. These features, along with the addition of skylights to increase the natural light inside the building, helped create a more inviting atmosphere for the membership. The reconfiguration of space allowed La Macchia Group to transform the credit union’s lobby from a transactional environment to a retail environment which, in turn, has resulted in better sales and increased PFI relationships with the existing membership base resulting in increased ROI.
La Macchia Group has completed a number of projects for Heritage Credit Union over the years. Understanding it was imperative to keep the credit union open a live remodel was the only option. The finished product was in line with the credit union’s goals, expectations, and budget. The end result of the project is that it has positioned the credit union to take a greater percentage of the market than it previously had captured.
When choosing a business partner, Heritage places great value on a firm we trust, and at the same time has a reputation for quality work. La Macchia Group has earned our trust and respect over and over again. Their insistence on quality exceeds our expectations and their experience in constructing credit union buildings adds tremendous value to the final product.
