Heritage Credit Union - Machesney Park

SUMMARY

Heritage Credit Union needed a credit union strategy partner, and decided to work with La Macchia Group to do a branch transformation of their Rockford, Illinois office. Through the transformation, Heritage Credit Union saw great growth.

With their Rockford branch achieving such success, Heritage had plans to expand further into the Illinois marketplace. By conducting a strategic market analysis, La Macchia Group identified where to build a credit union for the Heritage Credit Union team. It was concluded that the Machesney Park region would be the ideal next location to open a new retail branch. This region has a strong young borrower population and demographics that fit the target audience of the credit union. The site acquired is located in a large commercial retail node next to a new Meijer.

Our designers then strategized a branch concept that would embody Heritage's brand identity that focused on the member experience. To create a retail-inspired environment, custom graphics were developed by a local artist that implemented them throughout the branch. New teller pods and a brand-inspired circular amenities bar filled with refreshments add to the member retail experience.
