SUMMARY
La Macchia Group and Heritage Credit Union have developed a true partnership over the years. When Bob Lestina, the new president, took control of Heritage, he discovered a system of credit union buildings that redefined deferred maintenance - the buildings were literally falling apart. Over the years the partnership has required La Macchia Group to evaluate every active location and relevant market where Heritage has a presence. They have developed an appropriate strategy for each market in order to increase Heritage’s Return On Investment. With each location, La Macchia Group delivers efficient building layouts and communicates the new image of the credit union to the community. In addition, the design has helped improve employee morale while supporting Mr. Lestina’s Blue Ocean strategic thinking and management style.
Chetek, a small resort village in Northern, WI, was the first market addressed by La Macchia Group. While the community offers a solid base of local membership throughout the calendar year, the membership spikes considerably in the summer months. La Macchia Group was able to identify a new site and develop an approximately 4,000 square foot freestanding branch that addresses the needs of the entire membership. The branch wanted to communicate to both the community and the competition that Heritage Credit Union was poised to be a serious player in the market. La Macchia Group was able to create a design that conveyed this message within strict budget constraints. The branch is exceeding all projected expectations across the board.
