Having worked with La Macchia Group on multiple past projects, Westby Co-Op Credit Union (WCCU) approached La Macchia Group to partner with them for their most recent branch expansion into the Baraboo, Wisconsin market.
La Macchia Group performed a market analysis and identified the Baraboo market as the ideal deployment for the credit union. Of the multiple sites analyzed in the Baraboo market, La Macchia Group targeted a hard corner at a highly trafficked intersection that is shared with Wal-Mart and other national retailers. The optimal site location provides visibility and convenience to their target membership base.
La Macchia Group worked on WCCU’s behalf with a developer on site development through a cost-sharing agreement benefitting both parties. As the chosen location presented great opportunity for other financials who might wish to expand into the same market, La Macchia Group negotiated a deed restriction preventing any competing financial institution uses on the adjacent parcel.
The new branch offers three teller lines, a no-surcharge ATM, and drive-through lanes for increased member convenience. The traditional approach of the building design maintains the community-focused atmosphere desired by WCCU, while the signature vaulted ceiling lends the space an open and airy feel.
Having worked with La Macchia Group since our initial branch deployment in Sauk County, we have found success in identifying similarities in demographics, building design and building location. Working with local subcontractors always gives us and our members a great sense of pride in all of our facilities. Ralph and his team have worked with us every step of the way.
