OUCU FINANCIAL

OUCU Financial was founded by Dr. Harry Crewson, president of Ohio university, in 1955 for employees of the university to borrow and save money with reasonable rates. By the end of the first year of operation, OUCU had 112 members; a vast difference from their current membership that sits at over 26,000 members! Expanding their membership eligibility over the years to specific county residents, University employees, students, and family of someone eligible, the team sought the help of La Macchia Group to advise footprint growth.

With growth being high on the priority list, OUCU and La Macchia Group teams started this project with a Strategic Market Analysis to provide insight on their current and potential members. After conducting the analysis, La Macchia Group was able to find and acquire the perfect location for OUCU's new branch. Ensuring this location would support their growth mindset, this branch is the first located outside of the greater Athens, Ohio market.

The interior of this new branch is a branded and open space, welcoming visitors with their calming shades of blue. An accent wall features a vinyl decal with design elements that mimic the curves of OUCU Financial's logo. The atmosphere is reinforced by the natural wood tones found throughout the branch. With ample member meeting space and two ITMs, this versatile space appeals to the quick transaction visitor as well as the ones who may want more guidance. Offices that line the perimeter of the lobby feature glass walls and doors looking into the common area, supporting the open floorplan while still allowing for privacy.

There are many more projects to come out of the partnership between La Macchia Group and OUCU Financial, and this new location in Lancaster represents the shared vision of expansion while continuing to maintain an allegiance to their members, and ensuring it's clear that OUCU is where they belong.
