SUMMARY

Publix Employees Federal Credit Union (PEFCU) was founded in 1957 on the principle of "people helping people",  a philosophy rooted in the legacy of Publix Super Markets founder, George Jenkins. Across their 9 branches, PEFCU serves members throughout the southeastern United States with a mission to provide exceptional, convenient, and innovative financial solutions throughout all phases of each member's life.

When starting this project, there was one clear goal: to shift the member experience from traditional and transactional to innovative yet trusted. As a closed SEG credit union, the PEFCU team was determined to show members their dedication, and this branch became a physical reflection of that commitment, blending modern design with a welcoming, people-first atmosphere. Every detail was thoughtfully considered to enhance both functionality and connection, creating a space where members feel valued, supported, and confident in their financial partner.

The member journey begins the moment you walk through the doors, warm wood tones, branded elements, and clean lines establish an immediate sense of belonging. A wood look trellis and contrasting LVT flooring frame the arrival experience, naturally guiding members toward the greeter station, which serves as the functional launchpad for the entire visit. The purposeful use of material and color generates distinct moments within the space, creating a dynamic and proportional entry that signals both professionalism and warmth from the first step inside.
