When a vehicle drove through their front window of their lobby nearly destroying the reception desk, Bank of Brodhead came to La Macchia Group to devise a new facility design that would protect their staff, customers, and building against any future situations. La Macchia Group’s team first addressed the issue by recommending some changes to the exterior that would help prevent damage should this occur again. This included adding large boulders to the side of the building that received the damage from the vehicle as this corner of the building is located near a busy intersection.
This small improvement project soon turned into a full-scale live interior remodel. The interior floorplan restructured to make room for more open lending areas and additional private offices. This also allowed for a complete remodel of the lobby to allow for a more modem, welcoming look and feel. Bank of Brodhead wanted to keep some of their existing aesthetics so La Macchia Group designed a very distinct and uniquely designed teller line that complemented the new design.
La Macchia Group developed a custom solution to improve the overall space functionality, cohesion and aesthetic. The modern aesthetic mixed with the nostalgia of the Bank provided an ode to the Bank’s history. A vintage, hand-painted logo of the bank on the door behind the teller line was kept to provide that vintage look. In addition, working with the beautiful marble panels around the vault, trimming those out to finish them will provide protection for years to come, while also elevating the aesthetic.
