Level One Bank was founded in Farmington Hills, Michigan in 2007 with a core mission of providing local, community-minded banking.
The Southeastern Michigan market, like many across America, has seen a shift from business banking decisions previously made locally now being made more often by out-of-state and foreign lenders. Level One engaged La Macchia Group to identify key growth segments of its clientele within the Southeastern Michigan market. By analyzing key demographic and competitive factors with the Bank’s targeted geography and client base, La Macchia Group made specific recommendations that were best suited for Level One’s growth objectives.
After identifying Bloomfield Township as a key target market, La Macchia Group assisted in the identification and negotiation of a targeted parcel. With the site secured, construction began on the new 4,100 sq.ft. branch facility.
UPDATE: In April 2022, Level One Bank was acquired by First Merchants Corp., the financial holding company of First Merchants Bank.
